Connect with OAuth or a personal token
The MCP endpoint is https://api.weprofit.com/mcp. Your assistant must support the required MCP connection and authentication method. Available controls depend on the client and its account plan.
- In WeProfit, open Developer and find Connect your AI (MCP). Copy the MCP endpoint.
- In an OAuth-capable MCP client, add that endpoint as a custom connection. Sign in to WeProfit and review the consent screen before approving.
- If your client uses explicit request headers, create a token in the API tokens card and configure Authorization: Bearer followed by your token. Keep it private.
- Ask the assistant to list the stores you can access. Confirm the intended store before requesting a report.
- Review OAuth connections under Connected AI apps. Revoke personal tokens from API tokens when access is no longer needed.
Useful first questions
Ask for a named store, explicit dates, currency and the evidence behind a conclusion. An assistant’s interpretation should be checked against the underlying report. These prompts are examples, not recorded customer outcomes.
- List the stores I can access and their reporting currencies.
- For my selected store, show revenue, refunds, ad spend and net profit for September 1 through September 7.
- Which orders in that period have inferred attribution? Explain the linking evidence.
- Show recent tracking errors and destination sync status for this store.
- Compare campaign profit, and identify where estimated product costs affect the result.
What the connection can do
The MCP service exposes permitted summaries, orders, events, campaign and profit reports, tracking diagnostics and setup guidance. It can help identify a failed destination or explain a confidence label.
The MCP connection does not change advertising campaigns or WeProfit settings. It cannot guarantee an advertising result. Access follows the connected user’s store permissions. The separate REST developer API has additional write capabilities and should not be confused with this read-only MCP connection.
Check the data shared with your assistant
Responses can contain store, event and order data the connected user may access. Review your assistant provider’s data settings and your team’s access requirements before connecting it. Use only the permissions and store scope required for the work.
The connection is a WeProfit product capability. Compatibility with an external assistant does not imply that its provider endorses or recommends WeProfit.
