TRUEPROFIT VS WEPROFIT

TrueProfit and WeProfit compared

TrueProfit is a net profit analytics app for Shopify stores. WeProfit is conversion tracking for Shopify that sends store data to 10 ad networks and includes attribution and profit reports. Both price each store by its monthly orders in US dollars, so this page sets their plans side by side, as each company published them on October 28, 2026.

TrueProfit and WeProfit at a glance

The two tools start from different jobs. TrueProfit focuses on net profit, with detailed cost settings, ad spend from many ad platforms and financial reports. WeProfit focuses on conversion tracking and delivery to ad networks, with attribution and profit reports in every plan.

When TrueProfit may suit you better

Based on what TrueProfit’s own pages list, it may suit you better if:

  • You want overhead in the profit figure. TrueProfit’s net profit includes custom costs such as software, rent, salaries and agency fees. WeProfit’s profit covers order costs and ad spend, without rent, salaries, software subscriptions, income taxes or other overhead.
  • You want detailed cost settings. TrueProfit lists quantity-based COGS, COGS by zones, cost and shipping sync from fulfillment platforms such as Printful and CJ Dropshipping, shipping platforms such as ShipStation, and transaction fees synced from Shopify Payments, PayPal and Stripe. WeProfit uses one payment fee rule and one shipping rule for every order; it does not import fees from payment providers or read carrier or label costs.
  • You want automated spend from more ad platforms. TrueProfit’s help center lists spend sync for 11 ad platforms, including Microsoft Ads, Snapchat, X, Taboola and Amazon. WeProfit syncs spend from connected Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and Pinterest ad accounts; for Snapchat, X Ads, Microsoft (pilot), Reddit, LinkedIn and Taboola, automated spend sync is not currently supported, and WeProfit does not include an Amazon ads connection.
  • You want a multi-touch view. TrueProfit’s Marketing Attribution, on its Enterprise plan, shows assisted purchases as well as last-clicked purchases. WeProfit has no selectable multi-touch models and no split credit.
  • You want lifetime value reports. TrueProfit lists Customer Lifetime Value on all plans. WeProfit does not include lifetime value (LTV) or cohort reports.
  • You sell on TikTok Shop, or run more than 5 stores. TrueProfit lists TikTok Shop as a sales channel, and its pricing FAQ offers a special discount when more than 5 stores subscribe. WeProfit connects Shopify stores, with WooCommerce in beta, and lists one price per store.

When WeProfit may suit you better

Based on the same published terms, WeProfit may suit you better if:

  • You run one store with up to 300 orders a month. WeProfit Starter is $19 per month before applicable taxes, and TrueProfit Basic is $35 per month for 300 orders, both in US dollars, as published on October 28, 2026.
  • You want attribution at every order volume. WeProfit includes attribution in every plan, from $19 per month per store. TrueProfit lists Marketing Attribution on its Enterprise plan, at $200 per month; its other plans list revenue and ROAS based on UTM links.
  • You want conversions sent to your ad networks from the same tool. WeProfit sends each order’s purchase from its server to the ad networks you connect, among 10 included in every plan. TrueProfit’s help center describes POAS Bidding, a beta open to a limited group, that sends each paid order’s contribution margin to Meta as a custom event; the pages we checked do not cover other conversion sending.
  • You want no fee per extra order. WeProfit charges no per-order overage fee; if a complete covered cycle ends over the allowance, reports, exports and developer API reads can be restricted until you choose a plan that covers your volume. TrueProfit charges a fee for each extra order, up to each plan’s maximum surcharge.
  • You want every feature in every plan. WeProfit’s plans differ only by monthly order allowance. TrueProfit lists Product Analytics and the P&L Report from its Advanced plan, Ad Sync Custom Rules from Ultimate and Marketing Attribution on Enterprise.

What WeProfit does and does not do

WeProfit receives each order through Shopify order webhooks, or the WooCommerce plugin (beta), and sends supported conversion events to each connected destination from its own servers, with a delivery log per network. All 10 ad networks are in every plan: Meta, Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics 4), TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, X Ads, Microsoft (pilot), Reddit, LinkedIn and Taboola.

Each order gets a confidence label (exact, strong, inferred or none) and is credited like last click with a 30-day ad-click lookback. WeProfit calculates net profit as revenue minus refunds, taxes, product costs, payment fees, shipping, and ad spend. Taxes are the sales tax or VAT your customers paid, minus any refunded part. Every plan also includes the developer API and a read-only AI assistant connection for MCP-compatible assistants.

What WeProfit does not do:

  • No selectable multi-touch models, no split credit and no view-through credit.
  • No email or SMS destinations: conversions go to ad networks.
  • No lifetime value (LTV) or cohort reports, no Amazon ads connection, and no spend at ad set or ad level: spend, ROAS, POAS and profit after ads stop at campaign level.
  • No payment fee import and no carrier costs: payment fees are one rule (a percentage plus a fixed fee per order) and shipping is one rule (none, a flat amount per order or a percentage of order value).
  • No automated spend sync for Snapchat, X Ads, Microsoft (pilot), Reddit, LinkedIn or Taboola; that spend can be added by hand, as a daily schedule or through the developer API.
  • No overhead in profit: rent, salaries, software subscriptions, income taxes and other overhead are not included, so it is not a full accounting system.
  • No free plan, no annual plan and no published price above 7,500 orders a month.
  • Orders placed before you installed WeProfit are never sent to ad networks, and Microsoft delivery is a pilot that requires enablement.
  • No guarantee of complete attribution, a particular advertising return or matching totals across ad platforms.

Plans and prices side by side

Both companies price each store by its monthly orders, in US dollars, billed through Shopify every 30 days, so the plans line up directly. TrueProfit charges a fee for each order above a plan’s allowance, and its pricing FAQ says the extra fees stop once the plan’s maximum surcharge is reached. WeProfit’s prices exclude applicable taxes; TrueProfit’s tax basis is not covered on the pages we checked, so see TrueProfit’s site.

Above 7,500 orders a month, contact support@weprofit.com for a custom WeProfit plan. WeProfit counts stored orders in the cycle, not only ad-attributed purchases: refunded orders count toward the allowance, cancelled orders do not, and Shopify test orders count like real orders.

Trial, billing and plan features

TrueProfit defines its allowance as the orders it tracks for your store in each billing cycle. These are the other terms that change what you pay and what each plan includes.

Monthly cost for one store at a few order volumes

Each figure is for one store, in US dollars per month, as published on October 28, 2026, using the plan whose allowance covers the volume on each side; where a smaller TrueProfit plan plus extra-order fees would cost more, the math is shown. WeProfit’s prices exclude applicable taxes; TrueProfit’s tax basis is not covered on the pages we checked. TrueProfit lists Marketing Attribution on Enterprise only, with a UTM-based revenue and ROAS view on every plan, while every WeProfit plan includes attribution.

At 7,500 orders no TrueProfit plan includes the volume, so the Enterprise figure adds extra-order fees: $200 + 4,000 × $0.07 = $480. The pricing FAQ says the extra-order fee stops at each plan’s maximum surcharge but does not say over which period; if the maximum applies per billing cycle, Basic at 7,500 orders would be $35 + $300 = $335, with Basic’s features.

Attribution, ad spend and profit, as each describes them

TrueProfit’s Marketing Attribution, on the Enterprise plan, reports Assisted Purchases (ads clicked before the final click) and Last-clicked Purchases (the final ad click, with full credit), and each order gets one last-click credit. Its default window is 30 days after an ad click, marked beta, and it uses the TrueProfit Pixel, the TrueProfit Tracking app embed and TrueProfit URL parameters on ads. A revenue and ROAS view based on UTM links is on all plans.

WeProfit attribution works like last click with a 30-day ad-click lookback, in every plan: each order counts once, in one channel and at most one campaign, with a confidence label, and there is no selectable model and no view-through credit.

TrueProfit’s help center gives its net profit as revenue plus tips and gift card sales, minus total costs (COGS, shipping costs, handling fees, transaction fees, ad spend and custom costs), taxes collected, chargeback loss and chargeback fee; it subtracts taxes collected by default, and that step can be changed in its calculation preferences. WeProfit calculates net profit as revenue minus refunds, taxes, product costs, payment fees, shipping, and ad spend. Both subtract the tax your customers paid, TrueProfit by default. One difference: TrueProfit’s custom costs can hold software, rent, salaries and agency fees, while WeProfit’s profit covers order costs and ad spend.

Test a switch with one known order during the 14-day trial

You approve a Shopify subscription to start WeProfit’s 14-day free trial; after the trial, Shopify bills the plan every 30 days until you uninstall WeProfit, and each shop gets one trial. Use those 14 days to follow one order from your store to each ad network before you move your sending.

  1. Create your WeProfit account, enter your store address, select Connect Shopify, and approve the authorization and the subscription.
  2. Select Open theme editor, enable the WeProfit app embed and select Save. Visit your storefront, add an item to the cart, then select Refresh on the Installation page and check for Connected, Web pixel installed: Yes and App embed: Active.
  3. Run Verify your installation, then review your orders, attribution and profit before you connect any ad network: WeProfit sends to a network only after you connect that destination.
  4. Pick the first network to move, decide which tool sends its purchases (see the next section), then connect and enable that destination in WeProfit.
  5. Place a permitted test purchase or wait for a real order you can identify, and record its order ID, paid status, time, currency and total in Shopify.
  6. Find the order in WeProfit and inspect its linked session and confidence label, then check the intended pixel or destination, the event ID, the delivery status and any error in that network’s delivery log.
  7. In the ad network, check the conversion action, reporting date and attribution settings. A successful send does not mean the network credits the order to an ad. Then repeat for the next network.
  • Orders placed before you installed WeProfit are imported for revenue and profit, the whole history when Shopify grants WeProfit access to all orders, otherwise Shopify’s last 60 days, and are never sent to ad networks.
  • Google Ads gets purchases from orders placed after its connection, uploaded about 6 hours after the ad click at the earliest; the first purchases usually show 24 to 48 hours after the first upload.
  • A Shopify test order counts like a real order: it reaches every connected ad network and counts toward the order allowance.

Avoid double purchase events while both tools run

Adding WeProfit adds a purchase sender for each network you connect. If your store already sends purchases to that network through another app, the Facebook & Instagram channel or theme code, the network can count a sale twice, because each sender uses its own event IDs. Before you connect a destination in WeProfit, list every tool that sends purchases to it and keep one purchase sender per destination.

WeProfit sends each order’s purchase from its server only; to a Meta pixel it sends each order’s Purchase once, with an event ID built from the order. On Shopify its app embed loads only the Meta pixels you connect in WeProfit, and Google’s tag only for the Google accounts you connect, so you can move one network at a time. A Shopify test order is sent like a real order, so a test purchase made while two tools are connected reaches both tools’ destinations.
