What the WeProfit ChatGPT plugin does
The WeProfit plugin connects ChatGPT to the data WeProfit keeps for your store: orders, attribution, net profit, profit per campaign, store events and tracking health. When a question needs your numbers, ChatGPT asks WeProfit, reads the answer and explains it. The numbers are the same as in your WeProfit dashboard.
The same connection reads the ad accounts connected to your store, live from each network: Google Ads, Meta and TikTok campaigns, ad groups or ad sets, ads, keywords, search terms, targeting and results as the network reports them. Through your own connected Google Ads account, ChatGPT can also use the Google Keyword Planner for keyword ideas, search volumes and forecasts. Once Google Analytics 4 is connected in WeProfit, ChatGPT can also read your store’s Google Analytics 4 property and its Search Console data.
WeProfit provides the data and ChatGPT does the analysis. The conclusions and suggestions are ChatGPT’s, so check them against the underlying report before you change a campaign. Everything is read-only: ChatGPT can explain what it sees, and every change stays with you.
The plugin is for asking ChatGPT about your Shopify or WooCommerce store, your ads and your profit. It is not a way to sell products inside ChatGPT, and it has nothing to do with ChatGPT Ads, which is not one of the ad networks WeProfit sends conversions to.
To see the dashboard these numbers come from, open the live demo with sample data. The demo shows the dashboard only; ChatGPT connects to your own WeProfit account.
What ChatGPT can read through WeProfit
Everything below is read through WeProfit’s MCP server with your WeProfit permissions. The rows marked live are read live from Google, Meta or TikTok when you ask; the rest comes from WeProfit.
| Area | What ChatGPT can read |
|---|---|
| Profit and store results | Visitors, sessions, conversion rate and average order value, and the profit and loss with the dashboard’s own math: revenue, refunds, taxes, product costs, fees, shipping, ad spend and net profit |
| Campaign profit | Profit, POAS and break-even ROAS per campaign, ad spend per network and day, and orders joined with ad spend by day, network, channel, campaign, ad set or ad |
| Orders and events | Order and event lists with attribution and filters, one order with its profit breakdown and attribution evidence, a visitor’s first and last touch and a session’s timeline, without customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses |
| All your stores | Every store you can access, combined or side by side in your display currency, with a comparison to the previous period |
| Tracking health | Each connection with its status, the ad spend sync state, the error log, and install and event flow checks with suggested fixes |
| Custom reports | Reports built from WeProfit’s dimensions and metrics, for questions the dashboard has no ready-made report for |
| Google Ads, live | Campaigns, ad groups, keywords with Quality Score, search terms, ads and assets with their conversions, Performance Max asset groups, extensions, audiences, locations, devices, demographics, ad schedule, landing pages, placements, Shopping products, conversions by action, budgets and bidding, negative keywords, change history, recommendations, and any other read-only Google Ads query |
| Meta and TikTok, live | Campaigns, ad sets or ad groups, ads with their creatives, targeting, and results as the network reports them, split by day, country, age or gender when you ask |
| Network vs WeProfit, live | Each campaign side by side: the spend, clicks, conversions, conversion value and ROAS that Google Ads, Meta or TikTok reports, next to the orders, revenue, net profit and POAS WeProfit tracked for the same days, with which campaigns make money after ad spend and why the numbers differ |
| Google Keyword Planner | Keyword ideas from words, a page or a whole site, search volumes with monthly trends, competition and top-of-page bid ranges, forecasts for a budget and bid, ideas grouped by ad group, and location and language lookups |
| Google Analytics 4, live | Your store’s own Google Analytics 4 property: sessions, users and engagement, channels, source and medium, campaigns, landing pages, pages, devices, countries, events, key events, ecommerce and items, with a comparison to the previous period or year |
| Search Console, live | Your store’s own Search Console data: the Google search queries and pages that show your store, with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, by country, device or day |
Questions to ask ChatGPT about your store and ads
Name the store and the dates, and ask for the numbers behind each conclusion. These are example questions, not recorded customer results.
For a campaign question, ChatGPT can set what Google Ads, Meta or TikTok reports for each campaign, such as spend, clicks, conversions and ROAS, next to what WeProfit tracked for the same campaign and days: orders, revenue, net profit and POAS. It ranks the campaigns by net profit and explains why the two sides differ, so you can see which campaigns make money after ad spend before you move budget.
- What was my store’s net profit last month after ad spend, product costs and fees?
- Which of my Google Ads campaigns made a profit in the last 30 days, and which spent money without profitable sales?
- Which Google Ads search terms spent money without a sale last month, and which could become negative keywords?
- Which of my Meta ads has the best ROAS by country?
- Compare my Meta and TikTok results this week with the net profit WeProfit attributes to each.
- Is tracking working correctly on my store, and which destinations show errors?
- Find keyword ideas for my product page in the US, with search volumes and bid ranges.
- Which Google Analytics 4 channels and landing pages brought the most sessions and revenue last month?
- Which Google searches bring my store the most clicks in Search Console, and which pages get impressions but few clicks?
Google Analytics 4 and Search Console in ChatGPT
Once Google Analytics 4 is connected to your store in WeProfit, ChatGPT can read your store’s own Google Analytics 4 property through the plugin: traffic, users and engagement, channels, source and medium, campaigns, landing pages, devices, countries, events, key events and ecommerce. It can compare a date range with the previous period or the same days a year earlier, and it can use the property’s custom dimensions and metrics.
The same Google sign-in gives ChatGPT your store’s Search Console data: the Google search queries and pages that show your store, with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, by country, device or day. Search Console keeps 16 months of data and is about 2 days behind.
To connect, open Ad Networks > Google Analytics 4 in WeProfit and select Sign in with Google; ChatGPT reads through that Google sign-in. For Search Console, your store’s site must be in Search Console under the same Google account. ChatGPT reads only your store’s own property and site, never other properties or sites of that Google account, and changes nothing in either.
How to connect WeProfit to ChatGPT
You need a WeProfit account with your store connected, and a ChatGPT account. You connect once; after that, WeProfit is there in any chat.
Using ChatGPT in a company workspace? An admin may need to allow WeProfit first. To disconnect ChatGPT later, open Connected AI apps on the same Developer page: it loses access at once.
- In WeProfit, open Developer, find Connect your AI (MCP) and choose the ChatGPT tab.
- Select Open in ChatGPT and sign in to ChatGPT if it asks.
- Install WeProfit, then connect it when ChatGPT asks. Sign in to WeProfit if asked and select Approve. ChatGPT gets read-only access to your stores.
- Ask about your stores in a chat. ChatGPT uses WeProfit when a question needs it; you can also type @ and pick WeProfit.
- For live ad reads, connect your ad accounts to the store in WeProfit under Profit > Ad spend > Ad accounts, or connect Google Ads under Ad Networks > Google Ads. For the Keyword Planner, a Google Ads account connected to any of your stores is enough.
One MCP server for Google Ads, Meta Ads and your store
The WeProfit plugin runs on WeProfit’s MCP server, https://api.weprofit.com/mcp. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps use to call tools in other services.
If you were looking for a Google Ads MCP, a Meta Ads MCP (Facebook Ads MCP) or a Shopify MCP server, WeProfit covers the ad side and the store side in one hosted connection. You do not install or run a server, create a Google Cloud project or manage developer tokens: you connect your store and ad accounts to WeProfit, and ChatGPT gets the read-only tools.
The AI connection does not read or change your Shopify admin directly. The store side is the order, profit and tracking data WeProfit keeps for your store. Because both sides come through one server, ChatGPT can put a campaign’s Google Ads cost next to the orders and net profit WeProfit attributes to it in a single answer.
Claude and other AI apps connect the same way
The same MCP server works in Claude. Add WeProfit as a custom connector with the server URL, sign in to WeProfit and select Approve. Once connected, WeProfit also works in the Claude mobile apps, and in Claude Code when you sign in with the same Claude account.
Other MCP apps that support remote servers, such as Cursor, connect with OAuth or with a personal API token from the Developer page, sent as a Bearer token. Staff tokens see only what their store permissions allow.
Read-only access, permissions and your data
ChatGPT can read through WeProfit but never change anything. It cannot create, edit, pause or remove a campaign, change a budget or bid, save a Keyword Planner plan, change anything in Google Analytics 4 or Search Console, or change your WeProfit settings. When you agree with a suggestion, you make the change yourself in the ad account.
Access follows your WeProfit permissions. Store owners can use every read. If you are staff, ChatGPT sees only the stores where you have Developer access, and live ad account reads also need the store’s settings permission. Staff also need the store’s analytics and ad networks permissions for Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, and the settings, analytics and attribution permissions for the campaign comparison.
WeProfit’s answers contain store and ad data but no customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses. Review ChatGPT’s data settings and your team’s rules before you connect. WeProfit being available in ChatGPT does not mean that OpenAI endorses or recommends it.
Limits to know before you ask
Some limits come from the ad networks and some from WeProfit’s daily allowances.
- Live ad reads cover the ad accounts connected to the store: up to 5 accounts in one answer, each in its own currency. Amounts in different currencies are never added together.
- Answers are cached for 10 minutes, Keyword Planner answers for 24 hours, and each store has a daily allowance of live requests. When it is used up, the answer says when it resets.
- Google Ads change history covers the last 30 days, Google’s own limit.
- Google Auction Insights is not available. You can see it in your Google Ads account under Campaigns > Insights and reports > Auction insights.
- Keyword Planner forecasts estimate clicks, impressions, cost and conversions, but Google gives no conversion value.
- Google Analytics 4 answers are cached for 10 minutes and Search Console answers for 30 minutes, and each store has a separate daily allowance for each.
- In the campaign comparison, amounts are compared between the network and WeProfit only when the ad account and the store use the same currency.
